Looks like I can't Brandy Alexander my way out of this one
lowerclassmen going on upperclassman going on Krakatoa
I give it five and approach with C A U T I O N
Their everything tells me “Thank you for not playing!”
And I'd love to say;
“you're welcome for not playing now
where's my paycheck for all that nothing
the students say I sit around and do”
Sitting across from The Amazing Volcano Kid
I ease it up, like you're playing Miles Davis
and the whole band's in the pocket and
you never quit drinking,
“I'd like to just talk for a second”
“Thank you for NOT playing!”
I lean forward ever so slightly and motion;
“Consider This Thing You Like”
“NOT playing!”
“We don't have to talk about What Happened Today right now, just talk”
“What about This Thing I Like?”
“Well, how's It going”
“You know...It goes well.”
“Well HOW well is well”
“Actually, now that you mention it [x, y, z]!”
“That sounds pretty well”
“Yeah...I like it.”
“What about That Other Thing You Like”
“Oh! That's going even BETTER!”
“Amazing to hear”
“Yeah...it's pretty cool.”
“Now about What Happened Today”
“Thank you for not playing!”
“Hey, hey, hey, listen. I'm not out of quarters.”
“You have 1 More Credit.”
“I think it's important we talk about What Happened Today. You got pretty upset back there and I
wanna hear why. I want to hear why, but, when we talk you also need to hear what I say. Do you
understand?”
“Fine.”
“Tell me why you're so upset.”
“WELL FIRST OFF [X, Y, Z, IN THAT ORDER]!”
“And that made you pretty anxious?”
“YES!”
“And when you're anxious you get mad?”
“YES!”
“But do you understand that when you get mad you need to communicate?”
“Well...

I'm gonna have to dip into laundry money reserves if this goes south again.
“I get why you're mad. But you were pretty nasty to some people who were trying to help you. Don't
you think it'd be a good idea to maybe apologize?”
[The Smoke Clears And I Can See the Indies Again]
“...Can we talk more about This Thing I Like for now?”
Progress, it's all I can ask for.
“Of course.”
