DIRT TO DUST

suzanne boucher
I was caught between
The fire and a liar
Father and son
Flame took the truth
Reached the sun and
Burned us all down
Turned this house around
Took its heel and ground
This family to dirt
To dust
Took away trust
Where do we go
When dirt and dust settle
Hear the lies prattle
Clang in the place
Where love lived
Where do we go now
Where did it go
