The building’s “ours” but I’m no longer there
We searched for solutions living apart
Questions float like mites in the sunlit air
Asked by the changes made within our art
The frames that one time held my smiling face
A new life in film is now reflected
And next to you another in my place
Footed on foundations I erected
The more things stay the same the more things change
Changes that I’ve resisted from the start
New furniture could never rearrange
The room where you once live(d) within my heart
New pictures hanging in my living room
Where new lighting sets off a bitter gloom
